Editor's Pick: Performance

Pamyua

Pamyua founders Phillip and Stephen Blanchett create a new world sound by combining gospel, rhythm and blues, and funk music with northern indigenous music. Ossie Kairaiuak, a Yup'ik drummer, dancer, and singer, and Greenlandic Inuit singer Karina Moeller join the Blanchetts to deliver a performance of a cappella harmonies and tribal rhythms. A discussion with band members will follow the performance.
