HopStops for Families

Designed for families with children ages 3 to 8, the HopStop Family Series is held one Saturday per month from September to May, except December. These one-hour interactive programs engage children and adults in the performing arts through traditional German puppetry, Japanese drumming, hip-hop dance and more. Shown here from a 2003 HopStop program titled "Getting to Know the Adaskin String Trio" is violinist Emlyn Ngai. For more information, call Hop Outreach at 646-2010 or visit The Hopkins Center online and sign up to be on the HopMail e-mail list. Admission is free and doors open at 10:30 a.m. Below are details on the next two HopStops:

  • Jazz, Scat & Improv with Fred Haas and Sabrina Brown, Saturday, Oct 9, 11 a.m., Alumni Hall
  • Traditional German Hand Puppetry, Saturday, Nov 20, 11 a.m., Alumni Hall
