Hospital also gets 'most wireless' distinction
For the second year in a row, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) was
named in July one of the top communications-technology users in the nation
by Hospitals
& Health Networks, the journal of the American Hospital
Association. The 2004 Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study measures
the nation's hospitals on their use of Internet technologies for quality,
customer service, public health and safety, business processes and workforce
issues. DHMC is also included in the "Most Wireless" category,
recognizing the 25 hospitals that best demonstrate an ability to connect via
mobile devices. DHMC is one of two Northern New England medical facilities to
be named to the 100 Most Wired list. Concord Hospital in Concord, N.H.,
was also honored.
