The Institute for Lifelong Education at Dartmouth (ILEAD) has announced its 2004 Summer Lecture Series, and the focus this year will be on the Bill of Rights. Over the course of seven lectures, held each Wednesday from June 30 to Aug.11 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Spaulding Auditorium, distinguished speakers will explore various aspects of the Bill of Rights, including freedom of conscience and expression, fundamental fairness and equality and the rights of privacy and due process. Tickets cost $100 for the series or $20 per lecture. Admittance is free for Dartmouth students and faculty members. For more information call 653-0154.

Wednesday, Aug. 4 Ebel and Howard will debate the U.S. Patriot Act. Ebel has been Executive Director of the New Hampshire chapter of the ACLU for the last 22 years. Howard is the Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the District of New Hampshire. |
