On April 25, the Dartmouth College United Way Campaign announced that it had raised a total of $235,784, exceeding its goal of $235,000 by almost $800. Student fundraising efforts contributed substantially, in part through the success of the first annual Dartmouth Student United Way Golf Tournament.
"We are grateful to everyone at Dartmouth - staff, faculty and students - for their generosity on behalf of the Upper Valley United Way," said Susan DeBevoise Wright, Dartmouth Campaign Honorary Chair and Upper Valley United Way Board Member.
