Editor's Pick: Film and Lecture

Paul Rusesabagina

Paul Rusesabagina, who saved the lives of over 1,000 Tutsis as the Hutu manager of a luxury hotel in Rwanda during the civil war in 1994, is the winter speaker for the Great Issues Lecture Series Program. He will talk about his experiences in a lecture titled, Hotel Rwanda: A Lesson Yet to Be Learned on Thursday, Feb. 24. Rusesabagina is also the subject of the critically acclaimed film Hotel Rwanda, which has garnered three Academy Award nominations including Best Actor for Don Cheadle who plays Rusesabagina. Hotel Rwanda will be shown on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
