Editor's Pick: Concert

Jazz Performance and Lecture

Known for his "sheer brilliance" (the Montreal Gazette) and regarded as one of the greatest jazz drummers, Jack DeJohnette brings his smash hit Latin Project, forged at the Montreal Jazz Festival, to Dartmouth. The concert features clarinetist Don Byron, congera Giovanni Hidalgo, timbales and bongo player Luisita Quintero, bassist Jerome Harris and Eddie Gomez on the piano. Jerome Harris will trace the evolution of jazz into a global art form during the afternoon lecture and demonstration.

  • Concert: 8 p.m., followed by a spotlight discussion with members of the Latin Project
