  • Clements Chair created
    Robert Clements '54 and the trustees of The Clements Foundation have joined to commit $2.5 million to Dartmouth to create the position of Robert Clements Professor of Democracy and Politics.

  • The good doctor-to-be
    Eight second-year students at Dartmouth Medical School, recipients of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, are performing community service projects this year, from working with hospice patients to educating patients in cardiovascular fitness.

  • Mt. Cube trail protected
    Dartmouth and two other Upper Valley landowners recently joined the Appalachian Trail Conference (ATC) in a partnership that permanently protects the Mt. Cube section of the Cross-Rivendell Trail in Orford, N.H.

  • Visiting fellows to lecture on ethics
    Tom Chappell, founder of the Tom's of Maine line of personal care products, will offer a free public lecture titled "Leading with Values" and National Public Radio foreign correspondent Anne Garrels will give the Montgomery Endowment's last fall-term lecture, "Naked in Baghdad."
