Students, faculty and staff members marked Earth Week at Dartmouth with films, panel discussions and activities ranging from open mike performances to "Carry Your Trash Week" starting April 19. Jessica Doyle '05 was one of seven students who collected all their personal trash during the week and carried it with them around campus to encourage awareness of sustainability. According to student-organizer Meg Boyar '03, there are roughly 1,000 environmentally involved students at Dartmouth, and this year's Earth Week was one of many new activities students organized to raise awareness of environmental issues on campus. A list of Dartmouth's environmental organizations is at www.dartmouth.edu/~rwg/groups.html.
