Site Technical Support
The audio/video files on this site are in streaming QuickTime format.
Streaming media involves delivery of video or audio data over a network in real-time, as a stream of packets instead of a single file download.
To watch the videos you will need the current version of QuickTime properly installed.
Also check your QuickTime Preferences to verify that your QuickTime Connection Speed is set properly for your connection.
For better playback performance consider using an Ethernet connection instead of a wireless connection.
Be Sure To...
- Update your QuickTime software: QuickTime Download
- Mke sure the software is installed correctly: QuickTime Installation Check
- Check your streaming settings: QuickTime Live Streaming Check
- The resource site for all QuickTime issue: QuickTime Support Area
Windows Firewall Issues
If you are connecting to the Internet from behind a firewall you may have trouble receiving streaming QuickTime.
If you suspect that your firewall is preventing access to streaming clips, use the QuickTime Preferences to set the transport to
HTTP using port 80. This should solve most firewall issues.
- From the Start menu, select Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel, find and double click the icon for 'QuickTime'.
- From the top drop-down menu in the QuickTime control panel, select 'Streaming Transport'
- Change the radio button selection to 'Use this Protocol an Port ID', and verify that the subsequent selection is 'Use HTTP Port: 80'.
- Select 'OK'
