A Successful Transition Depends on Connecting to Your Advisors and Resources

Consider this advising schedule for your first term back at Dartmouth:

Week 1-2	Informal meet/greet with Undergraduate Deans Office and other readmitted students. Meet with your assigned Dean (Click here to find out who your Dean is.) Check-in for the term will not be allowed until this meeting occurs.
Week 3	Group Check In. All Deans will hold open drop in hours for students to meet. Date & Time TBD.
Week 4	Group meeting (when applicable)
Week 5	Meet with your assigned Dean
Week 6	Group meeting (when applicable)
Week 7	Group meeting (when applicable)
Week 8	Group meeting (when applicable)
Week 9	Meet with Dean June Chu or Assigned Dean

Dean June Chu is an additional resource for you as you transition back to campus, so feel free to reach out to her as well!

How many credits do you have?

If you are returning with 9 - 17 credits, visit our web page for SOPHOMORES.

TIPS from the Undergraduate Deans!

Use the resources! If you aren't sure about how to juggle three classes, talk to your Undergraduate Dean, or seek out Carl Thum in the Academic Skills Center for hints on time management strategies.
Plan out each term, and plan out each week. (See calendar templates at http://www.dartmouth.edu/~acskills/success/time.html.)
Find a great place to study! (Find all sorts of great studying information at http://www.dartmouth.edu/~acskills/success/study.html.)
Feeling overwhelmed? Talk to a counselor at Dick's House.
Talk to you professors - get to know them EARLY, and seek them out OFTEN!
