New England in the World

Series Editors:
  • Brigitte Bailey Associate Professor of English University of New Hampshire
  • Marilyn Halter Professor of History Boston University

EW ENGLAND IN THE WORLD promotes new directions in research on New England topics in a variety of disciplines, including literary studies, history, biography, geography, anthropology, environmental studies, visual and material culture, African American studies, Native studies, ethnic studies, gender studies, film studies, and cultural studies. In addition to its pursuit of New England topics in general, the series features a special emphasis on projects that situate New England in transnational, transatlantic, hemispheric, and global contexts. The series welcomes interdisciplinary perspectives, and it publishes books meant for academic readers as well as books that speak to a broader public.
