For Dartmouth Employees: eWay Instructions
The new electronic pledge system, United eWay, is a highly customized and dynamic interface to giving, accessible from any web browser over the internet.
On 10/09/08 each Dartmouth College employee will receive an email announcing the kickoff of the Dartmouth College United Way Campaign.
The following steps will complete the pledge process:
- Click your personalized link included in the announcement email.
- Read the welcome message from Peter Glenshaw, Chair of the Dartmouth College United Way and the information provided by Upper Valley United Way.
- Note that this year, all donors may make a donation to the WARM Fund.
- Select your pledge type:
Payroll Deduction: Payroll pledges can be made 3 ways:
1) Select amount per pay period
2) Write in amount per pay period
3) Write in the amount of a one-time deduction.
4) To make an additional gift to the WARM Fund, select the amount of y0ur tine time gift.
Checks: Write in the amount of the gift. Donors are instructed to mail their check via Hinman Mail to HB 6123.
Credit Cards: Write in the amount of the gift and complete the form with credit card information. Credit card charges can be made once, semi-annually or quarterly.
Debit cards: Write in the amount of the gift and complete the form with debit card information. Debit card charges can be made once, semi-annually or quarterly.
Stock: Donors complete the stock information form and are instructed to call UVUW for specific instructions for their broker.
1. At "Invest your Donation", select: "Upper Valley United Way" or select "Click to give to UV United Way, UW Focus Areas, the WARM Fund, partner agencies, or any 501(c)(3) non-profit."
2. Click "Continue".
3. At "Donation Distribution" select one or more of the Upper Valley United Way Focus or areas if desired. If donation distribution in complete, click "Continue."
4. To designate to a specific agency, click "Find an Agency" in the lower gray box.
5. To view the list Upper Valley United Way Partner agencies, click "Partner Agencies".
6. Click "Select" to choose an agency.
7. To search for a non-United Way agency, click "Expand your agency search".
8. On the next page fill n the search box with as much information as possible.
9. Review the search results and click "Select" to choose an agency.
10. Repeat this process to select additional agencies.
11. When all agencies are selected click "I am done selecting agencies".
12. Under Donation Distribution, allocate your donation to the selected agencies and Upper Valley United Way. Any portion of the donors pledge not specifically designated defaults to Upper Valley United Way.
13. Click "Continue".
14. Review the Donor Information page. Edit as necessary, click "Continue".
15. Review the Pledge Review page. Edit as necessary, click "Submit Contribution".
16. Print a pledge summary.
17. Complete the online survey to evaluate the eWay pledge tool.
If you prefer to use a printed pledge form, print the employee pledge form (136kb PDF), complete the form and send it to Dartmouth College United Way, Hinman Box 6123.
