Laser Ablation Chamber The laser ablation system is used for the deposition of molecular imprint films, laser ablation of carbon, and deposition of high Tc materials.

E-beam Deposition System The glass bell jar deposition system is a diffusion-pumped system, aka "the beast". This system is used for deposition of optical films, gold, fullerene, etc. It is equipped with dual resistive sources, an e-gun, and an ion mill.

L-B Trough Used for deposition of gold nanoparticle arrays and deposition of monolayer nanotube films.

Surface Profiler The optical surface profiler rovides rapid analysis of surface topographies with nanometer vertical, and sub-micron lateral resolution.

XPS/ESCA system This system allows determination of the chemical composition of insulators.

NanoMOKE NanoMOKE &trade is an ultra-high sensitivity magnetooptical magnetometer and is sensitive to the longitudinal, transverse and polar magnetooptical Kerr effects. It is ideally suited to measuring the magnetic properties of thin magnetic films and magnetic nanostructures.

Coming Soon Equipment on order includes a Bruker FTIR, a MAPLE deposition system for polymer films, and a Pacific Nanotechnologies Atomic Force Microscope.
