Kurt Nelson

Kurt Nelson holds a bachelor of arts degree in religion and history from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School. He currently resides in Hanover, New Hampshire where he is the advisor to multi-faith programs at Dartmouth College. His interests include faith and sexuality, green theology, struggling with the Lutheran Church, being happily married, biking, frisbee and the Nintendo Wii.

Kurt Nelson has been the Multi-Faith Program Advisor at the Tucker Foundation since fall of 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion and history from St. Olaf College and a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School. During his time at Yale University, Kurt worked with the Lutheran Campus Ministry and the University Chaplaincy.

Kurt oversees Dartmouth’s flourishing multi-faith program, including the Multi-Faith Council, the Inter-Faith Living and Learning Community, the Faith in Action alternative spring break trip, and the Multi-Faith Summer Retreat. And he is always ready to help develop new, student-led programs and initiatives. He also convenes the Rollins Ecumenical Christian Chapel service each Thursday during academic terms.

Kurt’s interests include faith and sexuality, green theology, struggling with the Lutheran Church, being happily married, biking and frisbee. He is passionate about haiku, the Nintendo Wii, and cups of coffee with good conversation.
