Ruth Kilburn

RuthRuth Kilburn is currently the Administrative Assistant for the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life at Dartmouth College, giving support to more than 26 different religious and spiritual organizations that serve the Dartmouth community. After working for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse with terminally and chronically ill children, Ruth returned to college to further her career in science so that she could help find cures for those with terminal and genetic disease.

Ruth has an Associates of Arts degree in nursing from the Des Moines Area Community College and an Associates of Arts degree in Science Transfer from the Springfield Technical Community College. Ruth also holds a BA in Biology from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.

With this added education Ruth was able to work at Merck & Co. as a Staff Immunologist for nearly seven years and for two years at Dartmouth Medical School as a research assistant before coming to the Tucker Foundation. Tucker is an exciting opportunity to touch people’s lives in a meaningful way and to assist others in giving back to their communities, both physically and spiritually.

Ruth lives in Claremont with her husband Todd and hopes one day to teach either high school biology or biology to nursing students. She has one grown child.
