Girls Mentoring Program

Program Description

Be part of a program that links 6th grade students at Rivendell Academyl with Dartmouth Volunteers in a supportive environment that celebrates diversity and values honest and open communication. Join the girls in their two year exploration of the academic, social, and emotional challenges of adolescence.

Students meet weekly with Dartmouth women mentors for interactive activities and discussions about topics such as

-Identity and self-esteem

-Community and relationships

-Decision making and planning for the future

Requirements

Time Commitment

• Mentors attend mandatory training and evaluation meetings.
• 2 hours per week at the schools.
• Consistency and reliability are mandatory.

Transportation

• If eligible, mentors are required to become driver approved.
• Access to Tucker vehicles (after driver approval) is available.
