North Country Weekend

Program Description

North Country Weekend hosts groups of Boston youth at Dartmouth for a weekend of early college awareness, cultural investigation and outdoor exploration. Youth who attend a North Country Weekend are given an opportunity to experience the excitement and activity of a college campus through exposure to a number of Dartmouth events. In addition, students are encouraged to challenge themselves through planned outdoor activities.

Past activities have included hiking, staying at a DOC Cabin, visiting the organic farm, taping of a radio program, canoeing, dancing with one of the Dartmouth dance troupes, visiting the ropes course, and picking pumpkins.

It is a fun learning experience for all involved.
