Tucker Cars

Driver Approval

To become a Tucker Approved driver, you must first become a College Certified driver, which includes filling out an application available at the Tucker Foundation, submitting a copy of your driver's license, and completing an online driver safety course.

If you are interested in becoming certified to drive E-350 vans and microbuses, a road test is required.  Road tests are scheduled through the VOX Car Office.  

After completing the College Certified driver process, you must come to the Tucker Foundation to complete some additional training and paperwork in order to drive for one of our programs. 

This whole process must occur even if your program intends to use a personal vehicle.

Reservations

Only drivers certified by both the College's Driver Safety Program and the Tucker Foundation may reserve Tucker cars, and they must be used for a Tucker Program.

  • Online reservations must be made AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE.
  • Reservations made less than 24 hours in advance must be made in-person, at Tucker.
  • Student Directors and Program Chairs may submit term-long reservations for recurring weekly car needs by submitting a special form available at the Tucker Foundation.
  • Weekend reservations must be made by 3 p.m. on Fridays. NO RESERVATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED ON WEEKENDS.

Please note:

You do not have a reservation until you have received an email confirming it!

Vehicles will be held for no more 15 minutes after the start of the reservation.

All cars must be returned by 11:00 p.m. unless otherwise arranged with Tucker.

You must cancel your reservation if you will not need the car after all.  Instructions for how to change or cancel a reservation are in your confirmation email.
