Student Quotes

"Quaker Student Fellowship is an awesome way to escape the frenzy of Dartmouth life and reconnect with what is really important." - Nick Rule '04

Description

  • Our goal is to create an intimate, spiritually centered community on Dartmouth’s campus for a diverse range of Quaker faiths and like minded people.
  • We want to challenge the thinking of Dartmouth students as we answer that of God in all creation by living the Quaker lifestyle of love, peace, simplicity, equality and community.

Activities

  • Fellowship Dinners - the DQSF group meets twice monthly for dinner & conversation. We have occasional speakers and/or planned topics, but most of what we do is enjoy each other's company and support each other in handling the challenges of life at Dartmouth. Wednesdays, 7-9 pm, at the Friends Meeting - rides provided!
  • We sponsor events, participate in the Interfaith Council, and take part in other activities, based on what students want to do.
  • The "Host Family" program gives students access to home-cooked meals and a connection with a local Quaker family.
  • Meeting for Worship with Hanover Friends Meeting takes place on Sundays at 10 am at the meetinghouse, 43 Lebanon St, next to the High School.
