Four Tucker Fellows Named For Spring 2000
Rebecca Lothrop '02 is working with the Humanitarian Foundation in Santa Ana, Costa Rica. RebeccaÔs duties include coordinating a mother-child preschool program in this remote mountain community, participation in sport and recreation programs for low-income neighborhoods, and assisting indigenous groups through the seed distribution and literacy programs. Sarah Webb'02 is working with rural children from villages in the far north of the northern province of South Africa at St. Brendan's School. Sarah teaches English as a second language, and organizes sports and club events for the children. Kenneth Reyes '00 and Laura Vacca '01 are at work in the Donimican Republic village of Cabarete with the Fundacion Pro Cabarete. Kenneth and Laura supervise the Public School Library, teach English and the work in the after school program at the 500-student school. |
