Civic Internship Program

About the Civic Intern Program

Tucker Civic Internships are term-long paid positions at the Tucker Foundation designed to develop the leadership skills of talented Dartmouth students. Tucker Civic Internships typically include planning large-scale programs, developing new programs, and coordinating ongoing service projects. These interns foster their ability to work independently as they develop writing and problem-solving skills, communication and organizational abilities, the capacity to self-evaluate and the ability to remain flexible.

In addition to designing, developing, leading, and learning, interns will attend workshops to assist them in gaining the skills necessary to complete assigned tasks. Workshops focus on developing leadership skills such as strategic planning, teamwork, public relations, marketing, and time management.

Internships are designed to respond to the demands of the Dartmouth student's work schedule and the D-plan. Depending on the number of hours and the magnitude of one's project, we offer paid internships for some positions.

For a list of our current Civic Interns, see our Staff / Civic Interns page.
