On September 29 -30, 2006 a leadership retreat developed by a number of
departments on campus will be held for 80 undergraduate student leaders at the
Hulbert Outdoor Training Center. This upcoming event is a result of
interdepartmental collaboration on leadership development and related
programming. Dartmouth student leaders will have a training opportunity
in the basic core principles and skills of leadership through this off-campus
collaborative learning environment, and will be able to interact with peer
leaders from different campus departments and organizations.
It is the goal of Lead On! that the fertile learning and sharing environment
of this retreat will lead to continued on-campus collaboration, support, and
additional leadership opportunities.
Interactive sessions will cover topics such as:
- ethical & inclusive leadership
- group communication & facilitation
- leadership styles
- coalition building
- team building
- leaving your mark at Dartmouth
