Tucker Program: Habitat for Humanity, SEAD
History with Tucker: "I volunteered with SEAD and started volunteering for Habitat for Humanity my sophomore year. I became a Habitat Chair junior year, and now this year I have been the student director."
What Tucker Means to Me: "Tucker is a huge resource. Without the Tucker Foundation acting as an organizational umbrella for so many service programs on campus, students would be lacking in so many important volunteer opportunities."
Application deadline for summer term fellowship: April 30, 2012, 4 p.m.
The CROSS (Christians Reaching Out in Service to Society) provides committed Dartmouth undergraduates the opportunity to invest in their personal growth and liberal arts education by serving others in need, in the context of supporting a faith-based service organization and exploring their own sense of religious commitment and service.
Students apprentice themselves to an agency or organization serving the welfare, development, and fulfillment of other human beings. There is a preference for students exploring their Christian Faith, work with Faith Based Organizations (focused specifically on serving a community in need) and work on the continent of Africa.
