What's your major?
Neuroscience & Anthropology
Where are you from?
Seattle, WA
What else are you involved in on campus?
I'm the outgoing editor-in-chief of The Dartmouth and a member of Palaeopitus Senior Society
How have your Tucker experiences affected you?
I have learned the importance of consistent, compassionate mentorship for young people. Before coming to college, I don't think I fully understood what being a mentor meant, but I've come to understand how something as simple as hanging out with a child once a week can make a big difference in his or her life.
What has surprised you about life at Dartmouth?
I was surprised by the awesome number of opportunities and ways to get involved on campus.
What do you love about Big Brother, Big Sister?
I love that I've stayed with the same little sibling for the last three and half years because it's been incredibly rewarding to see her grow and mature. She's naturally a shy kid, so I've really enjoyed spending time with her to the point that she trusts me and is really open with me. Plus, it's a nice change of pace and a good stress reliever to get off campus and hang out with a child for a while every week.
What is one fun fact about you?
I won a timeout dance contest at the Homecoming football game during my sophomore year by doing the worm on the field.
