What has surprised you about college?
I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of smart, insightful and unique people that I have had a chance to meet.
What was most challenging about your experience with your Tucker program(s)?
One of DREAM's biggest challenges is communication, with parents and our own volunteers. Finding ways to engage our mentees and communities is difficult but also yields far greater rewards.
What do you love about your Tucker program(s)?
I really enjoy the small moments where we see our mentees succeed and learn and show their appreciation for what we do.
What would you say to a student who is thinking about becoming involved with Tucker?
Tucker runs a lot of fantastic programs and I would absolutely recommend that they try to find a program that would be meaningful to them.
How has your Tucker Foundation experience affected you?
Being a part of the Tucker Foundation has given me a new perspective on rural life and the unique challenges faced by the poor in these areas.
What is one fun fact about you?
I play guitar in a band. We haven't come up with a name yet but it is a lot
