Jay Davis is Program Officer for Outreach in Schools at the Tucker Foundation, directing Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth (SEAD), a multi-year program that expands the educational opportunities for promising high school students from under-resourced urban and rural schools, and Language in Motion (LIM), a program bringing Dartmouth students with cross-cultural and international experience into local under-resourced high schools and middle schools.
Jay also is an administrator in the Dean of the College Office, where he directs the First Year Student Enrichment Program (FYSEP), helping Dartmouth students who are the first in their family to attend college. He previously taught for ten years in Dartmouth's Education Department, and for eleven years in public and private middle schools and high schools.
Jay holds a 1995 Masters in Arts and Teaching from Brown University and was a Phi Beta Kappa 1990 graduate of Dartmouth, where he majored in English, minored in Education, and captained the Men's X-C Ski Team. Jay and his family --wife Julie ('91) and children Katie and Andrew -- live in Lyme, NH, where he is honored to coach the local children in soccer, skiing and baseball.
