Ed Haldeman is currently Chief Executive Officer of Freddie Mac. He is a 35-year veteran of the financial services industry. Before joining Freddie Mac he served as Chairman of Putnam Investment Management, LLC, and was Chief Executive Officer of Putnam from November 2003 to June 2008. From 2000-2002 Haldeman served as Chief Executive Officer of Delaware Investments, and from 1998 to 2000 as President and Chief Operating Officer of United Asset Management. He was a partner and director of Cooke & Bieler, Inc., an investment management firm from 1974 to 1998. Haldeman currently is Chair of the Board of Trustees of Dartmouth College, and serves on the Harvard Business School Board of Dean's Advisors. He earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, and an A.B. summa cum laude from Dartmouth College. Haldeman is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
