Christine Bucklin is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategic Planning for Sun Microsystems, a global multi-billion dollar provider of network computing solutions. In this role, she oversees corporate planning and the alignment of Sun's business units. She was previously the Chief Operating Officer at Internet Brands, Inc., a provider of media and e-commerce web sites in automotive, travel and leisure, and home-related categories. Ms. Bucklin managed the turn around, scaling and diversification of Internet Brands, which was originally founded as CarsDirect.com. Ms. Bucklin joined CarsDirect.com from Idealab, an Internet incubator, where she was an entrepreneur-in-residence. Prior to that, she spent over a decade with McKinsey & Company as management consultant and partner. Ms. Bucklin earned an A.B. in mathematics from Dartmouth, where she graduated summa cum laude and gave her class's valedictory address. She earned an M.B.A. and graduated first in her class from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. As a Dartmouth alumna, she has volunteered as a class agent and enrollment interviewer. She is married to Randolph Bucklin, a professor at UCLA, and together they have three children.
