Dick's House, the college infirmary, is located on Rope Ferry Road. It was constructed in 1927 under the direction and initiative of the parents of Richard Drew Hall, Class of 1927, who died of polio after his sophomore year at the college. His parents hoped to create a facility for the care and nurture of students that would maintain the ambiance of a home. It provides coverage for all full-time students. Services include a walk-in cold clinic, women's health care, and counseling opportunities.
Campus Safety and Security is located at 5 Rope Ferry Road. Although Hanover and the Dartmouth campus are generally considered safe environments, Safety and Security is available at all hours to escort students, transport sick or injured students, and respond to any emergencies. Any specific questions about campus safety should be directed to Safety and Security at 603-646-2234.
