Thayer School of Engineering

Thayer School

One of the oldest schools of Engineering in the country, the Thayer School of Engineering was founded in 1871. The school is home to the undergraduate Engineering Sciences Department through which the Bachelor of Arts in Engineering Sciences and the Bachelor of Engineering degrees are offered.

Thayer also offers the Master of Science, Master of Engineering Management (bridging engineering courses with Tuck business courses), and Ph.D degrees.

At Dartmouth, undergraduate engineering is firmly rooted in the liberal arts; in addition to their engineering coursework, students here also take a full array of courses in other areas.

The Thayer School offers an information session at 1:00pm, followed by a tour at 1:30pm each weekday.

Other graduate programs at Dartmouth include the Tuck School of Business, the Dartmouth Medical School, and Graduate Programs in Arts and Sciences.
