The Tucker Foundation is the center for moral and spiritual development through community service, religious life, issues of conscience, fellowships, internships and service trips.
The Chaplaincy hosts religious programs and services and oversees the twenty different campus religious groups, including:

Over 40% of our students are engaged in community service through the Tucker Foundation, providing approximately 45,000 hours of service on an annual basis. The Tucker Foundation oversees 40 Community Service Projects in the Upper Valley area, including:
- Big Brother/Big Sister
- BookBuddy
- Dartmouth Habitat for Humanity
- Neighborhood LEAD program
- Adopt-A-Grandparent, and
- Kendal Community Garden.
DarCORPS is a one-day service program during orientation week.
The Tucker Fellowship Program funds students to work as volunteers in a service/learning capacity with service organizations all over the world. Recent Tucker Fellowship Projects include public defense law in Washington, D.C.; working in Mother Theresa’s homes in India and Nepal; teaching in inner-city schools; providing legal services to economically disadvantaged women; and coaching sports teams in the shantytowns of South Africa.
After returning from the Tucker Foundation, with Thayer Dining Hall behind and to your left, continue straight onto the chained-off pedestrian walkway. You will now be behind McNutt Hall, where you began. This area is called Massachusetts Row.
