Robinson Hall is dedicated solely to student activities, including the following:
- The Dartmouth Outing Club, (DOC) is the largest student organization on campus and the oldest club of its kind on any college campus in the U.S. The DOC maintains 70 miles of the Appalachian Trail as well as cabins and other facilities on 26,800 acres of Dartmouth land in the northeast corner of New Hampshire. Taking advantage of Dartmouth’s location, regular DOC activities include hiking, kayaking, mountain and road biking, rock climbing, winter mountaineering, ski patrol, and organic farming. Since 1935, the DOC has also run 3-day pre-orientation trips for entering students. Trips are offered for all interests and ability levels, and about 90% of new students choose to participate in the program.
- Student Assembly and Class Council offices. SA is the governing body for the entire Dartmouth undergraduate community, while the class councils focus mainly on individual classes.
- The Dartmouth, our daily paper, is the oldest independent college newspaper in the country.
- The College yearbook, the Aegis, is produced here.
- The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Ally Resource Center is in Room 204, and is open to all students.
- The Dartmouth radio stations: WDCR (AM) plays a variety of music, from alternative to opera, while WFRD (FM) plays mostly album-oriented rock.
- DTV! is the student-run campus television station.
- The Dartmouth Forensic Union, our policy debate program, is one of the nation's strongest competitive debate squads.
