Jack Shultz grew up in Walla Walla, Washington and studied women and gender studies at Washington State University. Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree he moved to New Hampshire to complete the MALS program at Dartmouth College. His first book, Trans/Portraits will be released from the University Press of New England in October 2015. He currently works as a web programmer and analyst for the Geisel School of Medicine, and as an adjunct professor at New England College. His research interests include technology law, social media studies, women and gender studies, critical race studies, queer theory, and oral history. He enjoys alpine skiing, kayaking, debating quantum theories, spending time with his obnoxiously large Newfoundland dog, and writing. Of note: Jack is a major fan of the Oxford comma.
