Tofu Loaf


Adapted from The McDougall Program

  • 28 oz firm tofu, drained and mashed
  • 1 2/3 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup Kraft Hickory Smoke BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper


Preheat over to 350°. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well (use your hands to blend all ingredients together). Press the mixture into a loaf pan that has been lightly oiled or sprayed with cooking oil spray. Bake for 1 hour, then remove from the oven. Let rest for 15 minutes, then loosen the sides gently with a spatula and invert over a serving platter to remove.

Makes 1 loaf. Each 1" slice with a little BBQ sauce on top approximately 200 calories.
