We finally got our snowfall this winter. Three or four storms came through in the last month, and now the snow is thigh-deep in my backyard. We now need to wear snowshoes to take the compost down to the compost bin!
Speaking of snowshoes, we've taken advantage of the snow to go for a couple of hikes on the trail system in the woods behind our house. If you like to see the winter woods in all their quiet beauty, try snowshoeing when you get the chance.
The redpolls still hang around our hill, but they seem to prefer the neighbor's feeders rather than ours. Now the squirrels have the feeders to themselves most of the time. One has almost figured out a way to dismantle the "squirrel-proof" feeder. Hopefully it doesn't succeed.
We've been playing Scrabble incessantly this winter. Karen is reading books and practicing on the computer, so I'm definitely outclassed.
That's all for now!
