Improving Health Care Delivery

“Delivering quality health care is one of the great challenges facing business leaders. Meeting it, says Dartmouth president Jim Yong Kim, means harnessing the college’s vast resources—including the Tuck School’s management expertise.” (from Tuck Today)

The Need for the Science

Health care reform and the expansion of health coverage to 32 million more Americans was an historic event. Now we need to take the next step and make sure the health care patients receive is the best it can be—in every place, every time, for every patient. James Weinstein and Jim Yong Kim explain why we need to focus on health care delivery.

An Important Clinical Partner

As President Kim says, talking about needed changes in health care delivery isn’t enough. We also need to implement those changes in clinical practice and show that they work. For this, collaboration with Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system is essential. Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic President James Weinstein explains why the health system is uniquely ready to do this.

Why Dartmouth?

Throughout history, academic institutions have led in solving the world’s most complex problems. Jim Yong Kim explains why Dartmouth is uniquely positioned to take the lead in addressing the puzzle that is the U.S. health care delivery system.
