Sangai Asia Night is an annual event at Bates College that has been selling out each year for five years. "Sangai,", which means "together", defines the meaning behind the show - highlighting the unity in diversity of Asian cultures. Dartmouth Taal performed at this event, singing our rendition of A Whole New World and a mix between Billie Jean by Michael Jackson and Ramta Jogi from the Bollywood movie Taal.

    VariAsians is an annual show put on by MHC's Asian Students Association that highlights and celebrates the diversity of Asian cultures. In 2010, Dartmouth Taal had the privilege of performing at this event. We performed our signature mix of Kanye West's Heartless with the song Guzarish from the Bollywood hit Ghajini. The performance encore was the debut of our rendition of A Whole New World from Aladdin, sung in both English and Hindi.

    Sa Re Ga Ma Pella is a recurring Invitational event hosted by South Asian A Cappella groups across the country. The first was hosted by University of Michigan's Maize Mirchi in February of 2010. In November, Carnegie Mellon's Deewane took the reins, hosting the show in PIttsburgh. Dartmouth Taal was honored to participate in this event and sing alongside Maize Mirchi, Deewane, and Georgia Tech's Taal Tadka. At Carnegie Mellon, we performed our mixes of Heartless with Guzarish, Bittersweet Symphony with Yun Hi Chala from Swades, and A Whole New World.
