The Dartmouth Sustainability Initiative was created in June of 2005 with the aim of reducing the environmental footprint of the College by integrating sustainability principles and practices into academics, operatations and student programs on campus.
The Sustainability Initiative builds on a history of conservation and student-led environmentalism at Dartmouth dating back to the 1970s. To achieve our goals, we work closely with the Resource Working Group, student organizations, a network of volunteer sustainability coordinators (ECO reps), and related academic departments.
