The mission of the Student Life Division is to create an inclusive campus environment that serves the educational mission of the College by supporting student leadership, encouraging active citizenship and fostering and celebrating individual and community achievement.
As part of the Dean of the College area, the Student Life division plays an integral role in liberal arts education at Dartmouth. Student Life celebrates the unique talents of all students and creates a vibrant landscape of social, athletic, cultural and intellectual opportunities. We provide leadership education and experiences that value group membership and promote equity and diversity. Students' involvement in campus organizations and athletic teams, their volunteerism and their exposure to an array of leadership models extends classroom learning into the many facets of their lives. Student Life enhances this seamlessness through building partnerships with faculty, alumnae/i, staff, and families. The Student Life staff also encourages students' personal growth by both challenging and supporting them as they question and clarify their values.
