The development of multi-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus is now a major public health hazard. The recent emergence of vancomycin-resistant strains in multiple countries, including the United States, has further underscored the importance of identifying microbial factors that may lead to the development of preventive vaccines and novel antimicrobial therapy.
The goal of our research is to provide those targets.
