Lab
The Social Science Computing (SSC) laboratory provides a space where students can work on their social science coursework and get basic help with the statistical software Stata and SPSS. Located in 26 Silsby (the basement level), the lab is staffed by the SSC lab manager or a student consultant. They are on hand to assist students with installing and using the programs. Students can also get help with using the ICPSR website.
The Lab will be open the following hours for the Spring '08 term:

The lab is equipped with:
Computers
- Seven Dell computers runningWindows XP Professional
- Two Mac G5 computers running Mac OS X (10.4)
All computers run the core Dartmouth software, plus Stata and SPSS. Documentation and specialized software, including scanning and other production applications, are installed on some of the computers. Please check with the consultant if you have questions.
