Dinkmeyer Wins As Men's Tennis Falls to Penn, 6-1
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Junior Drew Dinkmeyer won the lone singles match as the Dartmouth men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 Ivy League decision to Penn Friday afternoon in Philadelphia, Pa.
Dinkmeyer defeated Alex Fritz at No. 3 singles, 1-6, 6-2, 6-4. The No. 3 doubles team of sophomore David Webb and freshman Raj Shrestha also won, 8-2.
The Big Green, now 10-12, 0-5 Ivy League, travels to Princeton on Saturday
for a 12 Noon match against the Tigers.

Webb and Sahu Win as Men's Tennis Falls to Brown, 5-2
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- David Webb and Priya Sahu each won singles matches, but the Dartmouth men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 Ivy League decision to Brown Tuesday in Providence, R.I.
After dropping the doubles point, the Big Green got on the board at No. 2 singles, as Webb won 6-3, 7-6. Dartmouth dropped the next three matches before Sahu won a thriller at No. 6, 6-3, 2-6, 10-8.
The Big Green, now 10-11 overall, 0-4 Ivy League, returns to action on Friday, April 18 with a 3:00 p.m. match at Penn.
Columbia Takes Narrow, 4-3 Victory over Dartmouth in Men's Tennis
HANOVER, N.H. -- For the second day in the row, the Dartmouth men's tennis team fell by the slimmest of margins.
This time it was the Columbia Lions who took a 4-3 decision over the Big Green on Saturday. On Friday, Dartmouth fell by an identical score to Cornell.
Dartmouth began the day by winning the doubles point, thanks to victories at No. 1 by Jesse Paer and Borko Kereshi, and at No. 2 where Neal Bobba and Raj Shrestha combined for a victory.
But the Lions answered with wins in four of the six singles matches, including at No. 1 where Oscar Chow had a straight set victory over Bobba.
Dartmouth had wins at No. 2 where sophomore David Webb pulled out a three-set victory over Columbia's Yoku Kiuchi and at No. 4 where Borko Kereshi downed Rajeev Emany, 6-3, 7-5.
The Big Green, 10-10 on the year, is on the road Tuesday, traveling to Brown.

Dartmouth Men's Tennis Drops Close Decision to Cornell
HANOVER, N.H. -- Despite wins at the top of the singles ladder, the Dartmouth men's tennis team dropped a narrow 4-3 decision to Cornell in Ivy League action on Friday.
At No. 1 singles, Big Green junior Neal Bobba defeated the Big Red's Julian Cheng, 6-4, 7-6, and at No. 2, sophomore David Webb knocked off Cornell's Scott Paltrowitz, 7-5, 4-6, 7-5.
The Big Green also picked up a win at No. 6 where sophomore Priya Sahu won in three sets.
Dartmouth, 10-9 overall, hosts Columbia on Saturday at 12 noon in the Boss Tennis Center.
Dartmouth Men's Tennis Falls to Harvard, 7-0
HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Harvard in Ivy League action on Sunday.
The Big Green's top doubles team of Neal Bobba and Drew Dinkmeyer was the lone bright spot, winning an 8-6 decision over Harvard's Dave Lingman and Mark Riddell.
But the Crimson took the second and third doubles matches to win that point.
Now 10-8 on the year, Dartmouth is back in action next weekend, hosting
Cornell on Friday and Columbia on Saturday.
Dartmouth Downs Williams
HANOVER, N.H. -- Neal Bobba won at No. 1 singles and the Dartmouth College men's tennis team rolled to a 6-1 victory over Williams Thursday night at the Boss Tennis Center.
The Big Green, now 10-7 overall, will host Harvard on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Boss Tennis Center.
Bobba won his second straight match with an easy win over John Haywood. Dave Webb was a straight-set winner at No. 2, while Andres Reyes won at No. 4, Raj Shrestha was victorious at No. 5, and Jesse Paer closed the match with a victory at No. 6.
Big Green Defeats Middlebury
HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth College men's tennis team won five of six singles matches to defeat Middlebury, 6-1, Wednesday evening at the Boss Tennis Center.
The Big Green, now 9-7, will take on Williams at the Boss Tennis Center on Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
Neal Bobba got the Big Green off on the right foot at No. 1 singles with a dominating performance, defeating Justin Ingoglia, 6-1, 6-2.
David Webb and Borko Kereshi won at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, while Andres Reyes was victorious at No. 5 and Jesse Paer won at No. 6.
Men's Tennis Drops 5-2 Decision to Miami Under the Lights
MIAMI, Fla. -- Under the lights at the University of Miami, the Dartmouth men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to the Hurricanes on Friday night.
The Big Green started the match winning the doubles point as David Webb and Andres Reyes won at No. 2, 8-0, while Jesse Paer and Borko Kereshi took an 8-4 decision at No. 3.
Miami, ranked No. 22 in the nation, regained the lead by winning the top five singles matches. The Big Green's other point came from Paer who picked up a three-set win at No. 6.
Dartmouth, now 8-7 on the year and 2-3 on the trip to Florida, returns home to host Middlebury on Wednesday, April 2
Men's Tennis Knocks Off Rutgers, 5-2
MIAMI, Fla. -- The Dartmouth men's tennis team improved to 8-6 on the year with a 5-2 victory over Rutgers on Thursday.
In the match played at the University of Miami, the Big Green won all three doubles matches to start with a 1-0 lead.
In singles play, junior Neal Bobba and sophomore David Webb picked up victories at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.
Junior Jesse Paer had a win at No. 6 singles, and sophomore Andres Reyes closed it out for the Big Green with a victory at No. 4. Both moved up a spot in the Dartmouth lineup when another player was ill.
Dartmouth closes out its trip to Florida on Friday, March 21, taking on the Miami Hurricanes at 6 p.m.
Men's Tennis Falls to Central Florida, 5-2
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Despite a victory by Neal Bobba at No. 1 singles, the Dartmouth men's tennis team fell to Central Florida, 5-2, on Wednesday.
Bobba, a junior, forced his opponent to three sets and won, 7-5, in the third. Also picking up a victory was freshman Raj Shrestha who won, 6-3, in the third set at No. 6 singles.
Now 7-6 on the year, Dartmouth takes on Rutgers in a match at Miami on Thursday.
Men's Tennis Wins 5-2 Decision over Drake
MIAMI, Fla. -- The Dartmouth men's tennis team won all three doubles matches Monday afternoon, enroute to a 5-2 victory over Drake.
After taking a 1-0 lead with the doubles point, the Big Green won the Nos. 3-6 singles matches, all in straight sets.
Picking up wins were sophomores David Webb and Andres Reyes, junior Borko Kereshi and freshman Raj Shrestha.
Now 7-5 on the season, Dartmouth takes on Central Florida on Wednesday.
Dartmouth Men's Tennis Falls to South Florida, 7-0
TAMPA, Fla. -- The Dartmouth men's tennis team started its spring trip to the Sunshine State with a 7-0 loss to the University of South Florida on Saturday.
The match was closer than the final score indicated as the Big Green and South Florida split sets in two singles matches.
At No. 2, junior Drew Dinkmeyer dropped his super breaker, 10-2, while at No. 3, sophomore David Webb also lost the super breaker, 11-9.
Webb and sophomore Andres Reyes combined for an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles.
Now 6-5 on the season, Dartmouth is back in action on Monday, taking on Drake University in a match at Miami.
Dartmouth Men's Tennis Blanks Connecticut, 7-0
HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men's tennis team won all six singles matches in straight sets, blanking Connecticut, 7-0, on Sunday.
The Big Green started the day by winning all three doubles matches to take a quick 1-0 advantage.
Dartmouth sophomore David Webb had an easy 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1, defeating Mike Furman.
The Big Green, 6-4, breaks for final exams for the winter term before resuming action in Florida. The first of five matches in the Sunshine State is March 15 at South Florida.

HANOVER, N.H. The Dartmouth men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Colgate Saturday afternoon at the Boss Tennis Center.
The Big Green fell into an early hole, losing the doubles point by dropping two of the three matches.
Andres Reyes picked up a win at No. 2 singles by beating Eric Saccull, 5-7,6-1,6-3.
At No. 4, Priya Sahu won a straight-set decision over Evan Ambrose, 6-4,6-3
Rasahaad Elder-Bush also notched a win at No. 6, defeating Blake Willmarth, 6-3,3-6,7-6.
The Big Green will host Connecticut on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
HANOVER, N.H.
-- Veteran Dartmouth coach Chuck Kinyon was inducted into the NISRA (National
Intercollegiate Squash Racquets Association) Hall of Fame in a ceremony
held last weekend.
Kinyon was recognized with three other honorees in conjunction with the College Squash Association men's collegiate championship held at Princeton University.
Currently the men's tennis coach for the Big Green, Kinyon also coached men's squash at Dartmouth from 1980-1989. He served as secretary, vice president and president of the NISRA during his squash coaching tenure.
Under Kinyon's watch, the CSA's relationship with sponsor Marsh & McLennon, the championship team format and improved financial accountability were all formalized.
Kinyon was inducted "for his contributions not only to Dartmouth squash but to the college game as a whole."
Also honored were player/coach Charlie Elliott; All-America Jeff Stanley; and Walter S. Tomenson, Jr., an executive with Marsh & McLennon.
Kinyon is the fifth Dartmouth representative named to the NISRA Hall of Fame. He joins Barbara Sands, a Big Green women's squash player who graduated in 1976; Aggie Kurtz and Ed Hoehn, former Dartmouth coaches; and John Herrick, Dartmouth Class of 1960.
A native of Rochester, N.Y., Kinyon has coached the Dartmouth men's tennis program since 1983.
WILLIAM & MARY HANDS MEN'S TENNIS 7-0 DEFEAT
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Dartmouth men's tennis team fell to William & Mary, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
In No. 2 singles action, sophomore Andres Reyes nearly won the opening set before falling to Sean Kelleher, 6-4, 6-3. Sophomore Priya Sahu also was narrowly defeated at No. 4, losing to Joe Brooks, 6-3, 7-5.
William & Mary's Stephen Ward and Kelleher handled Dartmouth sophomore David Webb and Reyes in No. 1 doubles, 8-5.
Now 5-3 on the season, Dartmouth returns to the court to face Colgate on March 1 with action set to begin at 12 noon at the Boss Tennis Center.
Men's Tennis Falls at Old Dominion, 6-1
NORFOLK, Va. -- The Dartmouth men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Old Dominion late Friday night.
The Big Green's lone victory came at No. 4 singles where sophomore Priya Sahu dropped the first set, 6-2, but won the second, 6-3, and the super breaker, 10-6.
Now 5-2 on the season, Dartmouth plays at William and Mary on Saturday.
Dartmouth Men's Tennis Downs Boston College, 5-2
HANOVER, N.H. -- Sophomores David Webb and Andres Reyes won the top two singles matches, pacing Dartmouth to a 5-2 victory over Boston College on Sunday.
The Big Green started the day taking the doubles point as Reyes and Webb combined for a victory. Saturday's 7-0 blanking of New Hampshire helped push Dartmouth's record to 5-1 on the year.
Dartmouth is on the road next weekend, traveling to Old Dominion on Friday and William & Mary on Saturday.

HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men's tennis team opened the weekend with a 7-0 victory against New Hampshire on Saturday at the Boss Tennis Center.
Among the highlights were freshman Raj Shrestha, who claimed a, 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles against Kevin O'Keefe, and the Big Green's No. 1 doubles team of sophomores Andres Reyes and David Webb, who won, 8-1, against O'Keefe and Jonathan Moody.
Dartmouth (4-1) returns to the court to face Boston College on Sunday at 12 noon at the Boss Tennis Center.

Men's Tennis Blanks Vermont, 7-0
HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men's tennis team raised its record to 3-1 with a 7-0 victory over Vermont Saturday afternoon at the Boss Tennis Center.
David Webb won in straight sets at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-4, while Andres Reyes was victorious at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Raj Shrestha (No. 3), Priya Shahu (No. 4), John Bois (No. 5) and Rashaad Elder-Bush (No. 6) also picked up straight set wins in singles action.
The Big Green will return to the courts on February 15, hosting New Hampshire
at 3:00 p.m.
Webb and Shrestha Win Matches At Harvard Invitational
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Sophomore David Webb and freshman Raj Shrestha each won a match as the Dartmouth men's tennis team competed at the Harvard Invitational last weekend.
Webb paced the Big Green with a win over David Slater of Marist, 7-6, 6-2, before dropping a hard fought 7-5, 6-2 match to the eighth-seeded Anil Shamasdin of Brown. Webb also lost in the back draw to Alex Hume of Kentucky, 7-5, 6-4.
Shrestha had a strong start with a victory over Brian Monier of Williams College, 6-2, 6-2, before dropping a heart breaker to Phil Charm of Brown, 7-5, 7-6. Shrestha also lost to John Haywood of Williams, 4-6, 7-5.

DARTMOUTH CAPTURES SINGLES, DOUBLES TITLE AT BIG GREEN INVITATIONAL
HANOVER, N.H.. -- Senior Neal Bobba took home the Big Green Invitational singles title before teaming with junior Drew Dinkmeyer to win the doubles bracket on Monday at the Boss Tennis Center.
In the singles final, Bobba defeated Ben Brier of Brown in three sets, 6-7(6), 6-2, 6-2. Bobba advanced to the finals after beating Hans Plukas of Princeton 6-1, 2-6, 6-3.
After claiming the individual title, Bobba and Dinkmeyer went up, 6-1, on Ben Brier and Kris Goddard of Brown before eventually winning, 8-4. To make the finals, Bobba and Dinkmeyer fought off four match points in the semifinals against Brandon Chiu and Jason Beren of Harvard before winning, 9-8(5).
The Big Green Invitational wraps up Dartmouth's fall season. The Big
Green will next see action on Jan. 24-26 at the Harvard Invitational.
Neal Bobba Reaches Finals
HANOVER, N.H. -- Neal Bobba of the Dartmouth men's tennis reached the finals of the Big Green Invitational on Sunday at the Boss Tennis Center.
In Flight A singles, Bobba defeated Rowan Reynolds of Yale, 6-3, 6-1, and Hans Plukas of Princeton, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. Bobba will face Ben Brier of Brown on Monday in the finals.
Drew Dinkmeyer reached the semifinals, but lost to Brier, 6-1, 6-3.
Dinkmeyer and Bobba fought their way to the semifinals of the doubles, beating Kevin Beile and Brook Deming of Rutgers, 8-4.
Men's Tennis Places Three In Quarterfinals
HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men's tennis team placed three players in the quarterfinals on the first day of the Big Green Invitational on Saturday at the Boss Tennis Center.
In Flight A singles, Drew Dinkmeyer defeated Jason Beren of Harvard, 7-5, 6-2, and also bested Andrew Lieu of Princeton, 3-6, 6-0, 6-2. David Webb also advanced with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Phil Charm of Brown and a win over Milosz Gudzowski of Yale, 6-4, 7-6. Neal Bobba, who had a first-round bye, won his match, 6-3, 6-1, against Luke Tedaldi of Brown.
Play will resume on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
Shrestha Wins Decisive Match As Men's Tennis Defeats Colgate, 4-3
FLUSHING MEADOW, N.Y. -- Freshman Raj Shrestha won the decisive match to pace the Dartmouth men's tennis team to a 4-3 win over Colgate at the ECAC Championship Sunday in Flushing Meadow, N.Y.
The win improves Dartmouth's record to 2-1 on the fall season. The Big Green returns to action on October 25 at the ITA Regionals.
With the match tied, 3-3, Shrestha won at No. 6 singles, 6-4. 7-5, to secrure the second straight win for the Big Green.
Drew Dinkmeyer was victorious at No. 2 singles, while David Webb at No. 4 and Andre Reyes at No. 5 , also won.
Men's Tennis Blasts St. Bonaventure, 6-1
FLUSHING MEADOW, N.Y. -- Freshman Raj Shrestha won his first collegiate match to pace the Dartmouth men's tennis team to a 6-1 win over St. Bonaventure at the ECAC Championship Saturday in Flushing Meadow, N.Y.
The win improves Dartmouth's record to 1-1 on the fall season and Dartmouth will play Colgate Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
Shrestha, who was playing the first dual match of his career, won at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-4. He also combined with Priya Sahu at No. 3 doubles to help the Big Green capture the doubles point.

Men's Tennis Falls To Columbia In ECAC, 4-1
FLUSHING MEADOW, N.Y. -- Borko Kereshi was the lone singles winner as the Dartmouth men's tennis team fell to Columbia, 4-1, in the first round of the ECAC Tennis Championship in Flushing Meadow, N.Y.
The teams played to four points due to inclement weather in the New York area.
Kereshi, playing at No. 4, defeated Rohan Saikia, 7-6, 4-3. The No. 1 doubles team of Drew Dinkmeyer and Neal Bobba were victorious over Oscar Chow and Saikia, 8-5.
The Big Green will face St. Bonaventure on Saturday at 9:00 am.
Webb Wins Flight At Yale Invitational
NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- David Webb of the Dartmouth men's tennis team won D Flight singles of the Yale Invitational on Sunday in New Haven. Conn.
Webb, who advanced to the finals by defeating Samir Ghia on Saturday, won his flight with a 6-3, 5-7, 7-5, victory versus Jimmy Moore of Columbia.
Neal Bobba also reached the finals, but had to retire because of injury in the first set.
In doubles action, the duo of Drew Dinkmeyer and Bobba won the A Flight because of illness to Brett McKeon and Scott Paltrowitz of Cornell.
The Big Green returns to action on Oct. 4-5 at the ECAC Championship.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Neal Bobba continued his impressive start to the fall season for the Dartmouth men's tennis team, advancing to the finals of the Yale Invitational on Saturday.
In the first match, Bobba out-lasted Yoku Kiuchi of Columbia, 6-3, 6-0. Bobba advanced to the finals after Andrew Rosenfeld of Yale was forced to retire after suffering leg cramps.
David Webb also won a pair of matches to advance to the final round, defeating Jesper Kostianen of Cornell, 6-3,6-3, and Samir Ghia of Columbia, 6-1, 6-1.
Bobba, Sahu Win Flights at Brown Men's Tennis Invitational
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Dartmouth junior Neal Bobba won the A flight singles at the Brown Invitational that concluded Sunday.
Bobba defeated Buffalo's Fery Kasiman, 6-1, 6-3.
In the B flight, sophomore Priya Sahu posted a 7-5, 7-6 victory in the finals.
Juniors Jesse Paer and Borko Kereshi advanced to the A flight doubles final before falling.
Dartmouth is back in action on September 28-29, competing at the Yale Invitational.
Neal Bobba picked up the most impressive victory of the afternoon, defeating Harvard's Brandon Chiu, 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles action, Drew Dinkmeyer teammed with Bobba in another impressive win, knocking off Justin Slattery and Brad Anderson of Boston College, 9-7.
Dinkmeyer also won his singles match, defeating Cesar Andrede of Iona, 6-0, 6-1.
Boss Tennis Center Named Court of the Year
NEW YORK, N.Y.- One of the finest indoor tennis facilities in the country, the Alexis Boss '93 Tennis Center and Alan D. Gordon '77 Pavilion on the campus of Dartmouth College, is starting to get national recognition. The indoor tennis complex was named the "Court of the Year" in the March/April edition of Tennis Industry Magazine.
The center is the home to the Dartmouth men's and women's tennis program, and has given the Big Green a top-notch facility for collegiate and recreational tennis.
"There's no question that having this facility has been an outstanding lift to our program," said head men's coach Chuck Kinyon, who just finished his 19th season as head coach of the Big Green. "This is one of the top facilities in the country and we're fortunate to have it right on our campus."
Finished in September 2000, the center houses six regulation-size doubles tennis courts with a multi-layer competition surface which meet all USTA requirements. The court lighting is state-of-the-art, multi-level, indirect lighting which provides uniform visibility and meets USTA recommended lighting levels for college competition. The Alan Gordon Pavilion also features a lounge, two public locker rooms, mezzanine seating and a team meeting room.
The facility honors Alexis Boss'93, who won All-Ivy recognition five times in singles and doubles before losing her life to brain cancer in 1995.
The pavilion recognizes Alan D. Gordon '77, captain of the men's squash team in 1976-77 and also a varsity tennis player.
