British A-Level and IB Scores
British A-Level scores
A student who has received a score of "A" on an A-Level examination:
- Has fulfilled the language requirement.
- In addition, the student receives 1 credit (for Spanish 9) upon entry to Dartmouth.
- Next suggested course: 30 level courses.
- Student has surpassed the level for the LSA programs and is eligible for FSP programs.
A student who has achieved a score of "B" on an A-Level examination:
- Has fulfilled the language requirement.
- Is eligible to take the Dartmouth Advanced Reading Test (DART) in Spanish offered only during orientation.
- Student has surpassed the level for the LSA programs and is eligible for FSP programs.
IB Scores
A student who achieves a score of 6 or 7 on the Higher Level IB exam:
- Has fulfilled the language requirement.
- In addition, the student receives 1 credit (for Spanish 9) upon entry to Dartmouth.
- Next suggested course: 30 level courses.
- Student has surpassed the level for the LSA programs and is eligible for FSP programs.
