  • Since 1998, coordinator of the Brazilian section of Revista de Crítica Literaria Latinoamericana (RCLL).
  • Also serves on the editorial board of the academic journal Revista Estudos de Literatura Brasileira Contemporânea (Universidade de Brasília), and on the advisory board of Revista Letras (Universidade Federal do Paraná) and Légua & meia: Revista de literatura e diversidade cultural (Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana).
  • Recipient of The Dartmouth Distinguished Teaching Award presented by the Class of 2001.
