appearing in 15 games in the pitching circle and 38 as a second baseman
and designated player...She was named honorable mention All-Ivy...Had a
4-5 record and a 3.59 earned run average...Picked up 48 strikeouts while
giving up 13 walks...Threw an amazing 15 inning shutout against Columbia
with four strikeouts...Had a career-high seven strikeouts in four innings
of work against Vermont...At the plate, had 26 hits, a double and scored
12 runs...Was 4-for-4 with two runs scored in win against University of
Wisconsin-Green Bay.
2001: Caruso appeared in 20 games as a freshman...Had an 8-4 record
and a team-leading 2.27 earned run average...Was 5-2 with a 1.34 earned
run average in Ivy League contests...She was named honorable mention All-Ivy...Caruso
threw 101.2 innings overall and had 45 strikeouts...Threw complete-game
shutouts against Cornell, Columbia, Providence, and Princeton...Had a .154
