After graduating in 2003, I conducted independent research focused on health care systems and response to HIV positive patients in Salvador, Brazil.  Since returning from Brazil, I was employed at Abt Associates, Inc., working as an Analyst on a number HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance abuse and other public health related projects. I received my master's in Public Health, focusing on Health Policy and Management at Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health. I joined the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation in 2007, providing administrative and programatic support to the African Health Research strategies. Additionally, I serve as Co-founder of Boys Speak Out, Inc., a newly established non-profit agency dedicated to the development of middle-school aged boys in rural and urban communities around the country and Co-founder of Health Initiatives International, Inc., a health education firm linked with the Vanuatu health system.

Of course, studying Sociology as an undergrad at Dartmouth gave me the foundation needed to allow me to successfully pursue all of these activities.
