In addition to the new residential facilities at the Tuck School, on North Park Street and at Sachem Village, graduate students now enjoy a variety of social and professional programming options throughout the academic year.
In collaboration with the Dean of the College area and the Graduate Student Council (GSC), the Graduate Studies Office has worked to increase the number and range of the events offered to graduate students. The Dean has invited graduate students to participate in numerous programming events, and the Graduate Advisor Program now involves eight advisors-one living in each cluster-to help integrate the graduate experience with undergraduate life by providing academic advising and support for residents. The GSC has increased the number of events for a diverse population of graduate students, including a very popular spring term Graduate Student Appreciation Week. The Arts and Sciences Poster Session is a highlight of the week; graduate students have an opportunity to share their current research with the Dartmouth community.
All of these efforts have served to create more social and professional opportunities for graduate students to participate in and engage with other members of the Dartmouth community.
