The Dartmouth Skiway offers challenge and enjoyment to skiers and riders from beginner to expert. Our ski and snowboard school directed by Benjamin Craig has a highly experienced group of instructors who make it easy to improve your skills and still have fun on the slopes. They offer instruction for all levels, several times each day. Our beginner's slope and lifts are all designed especially for first time skiers and snowboarders. With gentle grades and easy to ride magic carpet and J-bar, learning to ski and ride at the Skiway has never been easier.

Lessons are offered daily at 9:00, 10:15, 11:30, 1:00, and 2:30

Reservations are highly recommended.  Please call 603-795-2143 Ext. 25 to schedule your lesson.

Helmet use is highly recommended and encouraged-- a helmet is provided for each lesson.

Group Lessons:

Gateway Program

The Gateway Program offers kids ages 5-12 of a variety of abilities the opportunity to discover the excitement of downhill skiing in a fun and safe environment. This program, offered Saturday and/or Sundays, is recreational in nature, with a focus on improvement through increased skiing time as well as using an introduction to gates, brushes, and moguls along with other terrain features to build and reinforce skills. The program is designed to develop competent, safe and happy lifelong skiers and riders, with small classes grouped by age and ability taught by professional instructors. Each session is 2 ½ hours; the program begins January 10th & run until March 8th, 2015. Some children may choose to move into other programs which have specific focuses such as racing or freestyle competition thus this program's goal is to build and refine a foundation of skiing/riding skills to allow them to be successful if they choose a competition venue in the future. All program participants must be able to ski/ride from the top of the Winslow quad chair unassisted prior to the first day (please note that the program cost does NOT include lift access or lunch). Hurry registration is limited!

Kinder – Ski Programs

This program for kids 4-6 provides kids the opportunity to discover the joys of snowsports during an uncrowded time on the slopes. The goal of this program is to introduce/increase skills of young skiers in small groups taught by our professional instructors. The program is 6 weeks long with each session lasting 90 minutes. Session times are Monday afternoons from 1PM to 2:30 PM or Friday mornings from 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM (customized times may be available by contacting the Snowsports School Director). The first week will be Monday January 5th or Friday January 9th, 2015. There will not be class on Mondays Jan 15thor Feb 16th; Fridays Feb 6th or 20th.Lift access is now included for each participant in this program. Please note that rental equipment is available for rent but is NOT included in the cost.

Adult Midweek Group Lesson

This program for kids over 18, provides the opportunity to discover the joys of snowsports during an uncrowded time on the slopes. The goal of this program is to introduce/increase skills of in small groups taught by our professional instructors. The program is 6 weeks long with each session lasting 90 minutes. Session times are Friday mornings from 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM (customized times may be available by contacting the Snowsports School Director). The first week will be Friday January 9th, 2015. There will not be class on Friday Feb 6thor 20th. Please note that rental equipment is available for rent but is NOT included in the cost. Lift access for the program is available for an additional $55.

Dartmouth College Graduate Student & Spouse Midweek Group Lesson

This program for Dartmouth College Graduate students & their spouses provides the opportunity to discover the joys of snowsports during an uncrowded time on the slopes. The goal of this program is to introduce/increase skills of in small groups taught by our professional instructors. The program is 6 weeks long with each session lasting 90 minutes. Session times are Friday afternoons from 1PM to 2:30PM. The program begins January 9th, ending February 13th 2015 (no classes on Jan 23rd or Feb 6th). Please note that rental equipment is available for rent but is NOT included in the cost. Lift access for the program is not included.
