Jacki Smith

Jacki began coaching the Dartmouth College figure skating team in the fall of 2008 bringing with her 12 years of coaching experience with figure skaters of all ages, levels and disciplines. Her experience includes five years as the director of the Skating Club at Dartmouth, the local U.S. Figure Skating club serving Hanover, Lebanon and all of the Upper Valley.  She is certified by the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) in freestyle and moves in the field and regularly attends continuing education seminars offered by both PSA and U.S. Figure Skating.  

Growing up in Lake Placid, N.Y., Jacki trained with national and international coaches at the Olympic Center earning her U.S. Figure Skating gold medals in freestyle, dance, figures and moves in the field. She is a graduate of National Sports Academy and also competed at the national level in speed skating.

Jacki has a B.S. in Education and understands the demands and values of her Dartmouth student-athletes. She is looking forward to her second year at Dartmouth and helping the team in both their personal and team goals in a supportive and fun, yet focused environment. Jacki and her husband, Eric,  reside in Grantham with their newborn son Logan and their pets: Klyde, their lab mix; Keegan, their german short hair pointer; and their two cats, Chaaz and Kita.
